The Contractor’s scope for this contract also includes relocation of the existing Outdoor Substation which is serving the existing ISPS, including two (2) 11/0.433 kV transformers, all associated pole structures, interconnecting cables, and all other associated items to the new location indicated in the drawings in Volume 4 of the bid documents. All necessary interconnections between the 11 kV switchgear (to be provided as part of this contract) and the relocated 11/0.433 kV transformers, and between the transformer secondary to the panels of existing 433 V switchgear shall be completed by the Contractor.

12.3.1 The Electrical power supply for the STP shall be derived at 11 kV ,3 phase,50 Hz from the KPTCL/BESCOM’s substation, located within the same premises. The KPTCL/BESCOM will be making necessary modification in their substation by adding extra 11kV Switchgears, Laying 11kV under ground cable up to the Double Pole structure in new STP location. Necessary double pole structure ,lightning arrestors,11 kV Isolators, CT’s, PT’s, interconnecting cable from double pole structure to metering unit and the metering unit will be provided by KPTCL/BESCOM. This work will be executed by KPTCL/BESCOM, the provisional sum which is required to execute the work will be paid directly to KPTCL/BESCOM. The Contractor’s scope includes laisoning with KPTCL/BESCOM for getting construction power supply, making new power supply agreement for the plant and getting final clearance from CEIG for all Electrical system.

12.3.2 The proposed ISPS location at Agaram is located adjoining to existing ISPS. The Electrical power supply for existing ISPS is derived at 11 kV ,3 phase,50 Hz from the KPTCL/BESCOM’s substation.

The existing and proposed ISPS are going to have a common Tariff metering point. The Contractor scope also include relocation of existing Outdoor Substation of ISPS ,with 2 Nos

11/0.433 kV Transformers, along with all associated Pole Structures, interconnecting cables etc to new location as indicated in Proposed Layout DWG no: NMT/BWSSP-II/S1c/AGA/P/1002 .All necessary Interconnections between 11kV Switchgear from proposed 11kV Switchboard to the existing 11/0.433 kV transformers and from transformer secondary to Panels of existing Switchgear room shall be done by the Contractor.

12.5.10 L.T Capacitor Bank and Power Factor Correction

The capacitor banks provided shall be of bus connected type with Automatic Power factor correction, the system shall be designed such that a power factor of not less than 0.98 is maintained.

Automatically controlled multistage power factor correction shall be provided. 2 Nos. PFC panels

providing no less than 8 No PFC stages per panel shall be provided each connected to one bus section of the distribution board. The PF on each half of the board shall be monitored and corresponding PFC capacitors switched in and out automatically in discrete stages in order to maintain a set point PF value.

Each panel shall be configured such that no PFC capacitor stages shall operate when the standby

generator is powering the side of the distribution board to which it is connected. The breakers and cables in capacitor circuit shall be designed for taking extra loading of 35%.
